Remediation for Temperature Alert

Recommended Actions for Internal Temperature Alerts

1. Check Environmental Conditions

    • Ensure the camera is not exposed to direct sunlight, enclosed in a non-ventilated space, or installed near a heat source.

2. Inspect the Mounting Location

    • Make sure the housing or mount does not trap heat.

    • If in a weatherproof enclosure, confirm it is properly rated and not sealed too tightly.

3. Improve Ventilation or Shade

    • Add shade (e.g., a sun shield) to reduce solar load on outdoor cameras.

    • Improve airflow around the device if heat is building up.

4. Reduce Processing Load

    • Disable non-essential analytics or ACAPs.

    • Lower resolution or frame rate to reduce processor strain.

5. Power Cycle the Camera

    • Reboot the camera to see if it returns to normal operating temperature.
