Video Monitoring (Solution Details)
Professional video monitoring helps organizations move beyond simply recording security footage by connecting intelligent event detection with trained monitoring operators who can verify activity and initiate an appropriate response. With YourSixOS, video surveillance, AI analytics, alarm notifications, and central station monitoring work together to provide greater context when security events occur.
YourSixOS integrates with professional monitoring providers to deliver verified video monitoring without requiring traditional on-premise monitoring infrastructure. When an analytic or other detection source identifies an event, YourSixOS can send the alarm and associated video to a central station, where a trained operator reviews the activity and follows the customer’s defined action plan.
By combining professional video monitoring with AI-powered detection and video verification, organizations can reduce unnecessary responses, improve situational awareness, and create a more proactive approach to physical security. Whether protecting a single facility or managing security across multiple locations, YourSixOS provides a cloud-managed foundation for connecting detection, verification, monitoring, and response.
How it works
- Event: The YourSixOS platform recognizes an event via an edge (on camera) AI analytic, such as AOA (Axis Object Analytic) or from another detection source.
- Alarm Signal: An alarm signal is sent by the YourSixOS platform to the Central Station.
- Central Station: The monitoring agent at the Central Station reviews the event to determine whether it is a valid event or a false alarm. The agent does not assess whether the individual represents a threat, nor do they attempt to identify the person. Any detected activity that meets the event criteria is treated as a valid event, regardless of whether the individual is authorized to be at the location.
- Valid Event: If the event is determined to be valid, the monitoring agent reviews the account notes, follows the prescribed action plan, and contacts the customer using the designated call list. The ability of the monitoring agent to dispatch or contact law enforcement is subject to applicable state and local regulations. Customers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any permits, registrations, or authorizations required by local jurisdiction to enable law enforcement response.
- Customer Call: The customer receives a call from the monitoring agent regarding the event. If the event is determined to be a false alarm, the contact must provide the correct account password before the agent can dismiss the event. In jurisdictions where the monitoring center is restricted from contacting law enforcement, it is the customer’s responsibility to notify law enforcement directly after being contacted by the monitoring agent.
Event Uploader
The event uploader ensures you don’t miss critical events during unexpected internet outages. Once the outage is resolved, both the event and notification are swiftly transmitted. This means that any events occurring during the outage will be sent as soon as the connection is restored. When combined with edge storage on an SD card, this guarantees that you receive event notifications and have the footage readily available for review. This unique feature, not commonly supported in the industry, is a key differentiator that sets the YourSix solution apart. Inspect Application
YourSixOS Inspect is a purpose-built application designed for central station operators, providing a streamlined view-and-control experience focused on alarm verification and incident investigation. When an event is received by the central station, operators can launch Inspect directly from their alarm monitoring software to quickly assess the situation. Similar to the Matrix experience in the main YourSixOS application, Inspect presents a grid view of relevant devices along with a timeline of events. By leveraging Adjacency Groups, Inspect automatically displays related cameras, audio devices, barriers, sensors, and other nearby security assets, allowing operators to view contextual evidence and gain a more complete understanding of the event before taking action.
