Changelog

Post-buffer can now be set up to 10 minutes for a recording rule.

This is especially useful when using the digital input trigger with a PIR detector designed to send a pulse to the alarm panel. Since the duration of the pulse is the duration of the recording, the recording would previously be a maximum of 20+1+20 seconds long. With a 10-minute post-buffer, the recording can now be 20+1+600 seconds long, essentially allowing a digital pulse to trigger a 10-minute recording.

Next to the download button for a video export, there is now a button to copy the export link. The link can be sent via email or other means of communication to any party with whom you’d like to share the export.

We have released a new version of the YourSixOS CSI API. This new version includes:

  • Added endpoints for barriers, peripherals, and sensors.
  • Improvements of existing functionality, with a few endpoints replaced and deprecated.

Integrators and Organizations should migrate away from the deprecated endpoints. We will communicate EOL for these endpoints at a later time.

API documentation is now being published using Scalar:

  1. Go to https://docs.yoursix.com
  2. Click the Scalar icon in the upper right corner

Or go directly to https://docs.yoursix.com/scalar/

Post-creation changes of barrier hardware is now allowed across all hardware parameters. This allows, for example, an integrator to upgrade reader hardware from Wiegand to OSDP or to retrospectively add a REX-button without having to delete and recreate the barrier and its entire configuration.

To improve the user experience for barriers and peripherals, the Matrix menu has been redesigned to show things without grouping them per device. The redesign includes a number of other improvements, such as tabs for Views and Sources, using display real estate more efficiently.

Associations have been migrated to adjacency groups. For each association, there is now an adjacency group to accommodate the same mapping between speaker and device, as well as peripheral and device. For more information on the adjacency group concept, see: https://docs.yoursix.com/reference/models/resources#adjacency-group

Integrators and administrators will find the new adjacency groups created under Site -> Adjacency Groups. For more information, see https://docs.yoursix.com/administration/entities/sites#adjacency-groups.

This change has no impact on the end-customer or alarm operator experience; operations will continue as before.

  • High-resolution cameras, which tend to come as 4:3 these days, are now able to record at 1280×960 to the cloud
  • Stitched-lens cameras can now record the stitched stream at a better resolution (e.g., 2048×512).
