User Roles & Permissions

YourSixOS provides flexible, granular control over who can access and manage resources across the platform. Roles define a user’s overall level of access, while permissions and resource-based scopes determine what they can see, manage, and administer. This allows organizations and integrators to give users the access they need while maintaining control across customers, sites, devices, video, access control, audio, sensors, and other connected resources.

Organization User Roles & Permissions

Organization user roles and permissions control access within an individual YourSixOS organization. Administrators can define what users are allowed to do and which organizational resources they can access, from broad organization-wide access to specific sites, devices, barriers, peripherals, sensors, and other resources. Permissions can be assigned at higher levels and inherited by the resources beneath them, making it easier to manage access at scale while still supporting more granular control when needed. This gives organizations the flexibility to provide different users with the appropriate level of visibility and administrative control based on their responsibilities.

Integrator User Roles & Permissions

Integrator user roles and permissions help security integrators control how team members access and manage the organizations they support in YourSixOS. Integrators can provide users with the level of access required for their responsibilities while limiting access to customers and resources that are not relevant to their role. This makes it possible to support different responsibilities across an integrator’s team while maintaining consistent access control as the number of users, customer organizations, sites, and connected devices grows.
