Adjust Alert State with Peripherals
YourSixOS allows users to arm or disarm a device group by activating a devices’ peripheral input. This would enable a user to trigger the output of a device which could then arm or disarm notifications.
Setup Steps
Physical Hardware
Utilize a device such as a keypad or a camera to trigger a camera’s input on the system
Configuration Note:
- The system does not support delayed arming or disarming. Therefore, when using a keypad, it must be placed on the unsecured side to ensure the system is disarmed before entry and not armed before exit.
- Ensure the keypad being used supports toggling a relay on indefinitely upon entry of a valid PIN, and then switching the relay off with a subsequent valid PIN entry.
Create I/O Configuration on Device
In YourSixOS, go to the Edit Device page for the device where you previously connected the output to the input. Scroll to the I/O Configuration section and create the configurations as outlined below:
- Port 0:
- Name: arm/disarm input
- Direction: Input
- Normal State: Open

- Navigate to the site and select Add Device Group
- Enter a name for the group and click “Save.”
- After the group is created, select it and open the Edit Device Group page.
- Set the Arm/Disarm State Configuration to “Peripheral State.”
- Choose “Arm/Disarm Input” as the peripheral (configured in the previous steps).
- Add the desired devices to the group.
